| Thomas Kinkade...The Painter of Light... | | I was researching thomas kinkade this morning and I ended up putting one of his pics as my desktop wallpaper. I love his pictures. They are so realistic, they make me think that I could step right into them. I have several that are favorites and I think I’d like to get some to hang in our home. He really is an extremely talented artist. Do you own any Thomas Kinkade pics? What do you think of his art? Would you ever buy any to hang in your home? What’s your favorite kind of jelly? | | | | Keeping Track of My Memories... | | Well, after years of not wanting to I’m finally keeping a journal. I actually kind of like it. I’ve always wanted to keep one but had always been taught not to write anything down that you don’t want everyone to know…so I just always kept things in my mind. As I’m getting older though I’m finding it harder to remember certain things and actually have forgotten whole years when I was young. This way maybe my memories will be there for me to read when I can’t simply recall them anymore.I have a Thomas Kinkade journal that I’ve never used and decided to use that…the picture on the discussion is the actual journal I have and it has beautiful little stone path pictures in the bottom corner of each page. I just write about daily things, thoughts, ideas, worries, concerns and important events. I make sure to date it each time I write in it too.I’m also thinking of getting two other journals…different kinds. In one I want to put all the things I remember from when I was a kid like working in my Dad’s garden, all the moves I made with my Mom and things like when my brothers were born…I’ll sort it all by year and then put it all in.The other one I want to put family history... | |
| | What did you collect? | | I know men collect as well, but I think women like to collect more things to decorate. It could be a favorite flower, favorite artist, favorite animal, etc. What statues, sculptures, art work, etc do you collect and decorate your home with and why? I don't really have a favorite right now, people in my family like barbies, angels, Thomas Kinkade, Light Houses, Etc. I just don't know what I like right yet. I guess not everyone has to collect things to decorate the home with. I'm leaning more towards western stuff which is also what my fiance likes, maybe horse shoes, etc. Little bible verses on plaques, inspirational things at best. So what do you collect? did you start collecting it before or after getting married and how much of the thing do you have now? | |
| | What to get his mom | | My fiance has made his own discussion on this subject. I am in no way intending to take the spotlight off of his own discussion but I have thought of a few more things for suggestions that it may be better to go ahead and make another discussion. For all of those people who follow his discussions, His mother's birthday is approaching and will be on August 31st. She enjoys Thomas Kinkade, Sunflowers, and Romantic Novelists such as Danielle Steel and James Patterson. She has all of Danielle Steel's books except for one that is coming out to close to her birthday. I do not believe she is an avid fan of James Patterson. Regarding Thomas Kinkade, I have suggested to my fiance a nightlight. She already has one, and he mentioned this to me but I think that she could just as easily place it somewhere else throughout our home. We do not have very much money to spend on her but nonetheless want to give her recognition on her birthday. What things would you suggest my fiance and I get given the information I have just given you?She already has a sunflower candle and sunflower seeds we have given her as well as various other novelties strewn about the house. | | What are the things you like to collect? | | My daughter thinks I have too many of one thing. lol She knows I collect them, and she is right I do have a lot of them, but that won't change my mind.:)I collect mugs..........I have the big sized mugs, and fat mugs and normal mugs, I see a mug I like and I have to get it. I don't think anyone can have too many mugs. lol I have one Thomas Kinkade mug and one mug from Regis and Kelly when they came to town..........the rest are basically regular ones and christmas ones.What is your favorite thing to collect? | |

| | What Hangs On Your Bedroom Walls? | | And what does it say about you? I hope this doesn't get too personal. So I'll start by saying, the things that are hanging on my wall makes me sounds like a very artsy boohoo fluff kind of person. And a tad bit old fashion I might add. There's a grandfather clock (yes the hanging type), a old coca cola commercial print on a weathered wood crate, golden bronze leaves set, two candle holders with candles, painting of The Gatekeeper, painting of little children on the farm picking flowers, painting of Sonoma (done by Ex), Thomas Kinkade type painting of white picket fenced house on beach. Is oh so cozy. Oh yeah, and my electric guitar. Would you like to share? | |
