| Drinking Bottle Lamps | | Okay, So my husband and I have always saved are drinking bottles after we finish them, and being a in our early 20's still we have done ALOT of drinking, so we have a ton of bottles. Well I have them on a shelf in my kitchen but we are running out of room. So my husband decided to make lamps out of them and we are going to sell them at the flea market. I am kinda excited because some of them are the really expensive bottles like Crow and After Shock... So I am hoping to make some good money off them. I also decided to turn them on their side and make windchimes out of them. I will hang plastic shot glasses from them. | |
| | Where were the UV lamps? | | In the news today were the UV lamps supposedly for the elections. I suddenly remembered that my precinct did not have a UV lamp when I voted. The winning bidder says that they delivered to Comelec while Comelec seemed ignorant why the UV lamps were not delivered to the precincts.Come to think of it, where were the UV lamps? Did your precinct have one? Did you get to use it? Should the winning bidder be penalized for the non-delivery of the lamps to the precinct? | |

I used to tell some friends and relatives about removing them and use fluorescent lamps. But most of them are poor and they do not like to spend 150rs for a bulb. | | Do any of you own himalayan salt lamps? | | I spend 8 to 10 hours every day in front of my computer screen...on top of that the tv is usually always running in the next room, my husband smokes like a chimeny, we have cats and a dog....so with all of these allergens in the air i know my house is FULL of positive ions....
I know there are certain plants you can put in your house that give off negative ions but i have never been good at keeping any plants alive for very long so i was looking for an alternative to that...
Ionic breeze air ionizers are just too expensive....I did find a small thing that you can plug into a wall outlet that is suppose to emit a huge amount of negative ions but it has no aesthetic value at all and it was over 50 dollars..
So I came across these himalayan salt lamps and they are supposed to emit negative ions as well....
I think they are beautiful and wouldnt mind getting one just for that reason but i was wondering if any of you have one of these and if so do you notice any difference in the quality of the air in the area where you have it or any difference in your mood, health, alergies etc? | |

A warm looking home through a bulb is much more cost-efficient than having to keep a fire burning in the gas-fireplace to cast a warm light on the room.
