| Generation Gap... | | Is today's music just plain crap or is it just the "generation gap" finally catching up with me? When I was growing up my parents always told me about how good "their" music was, the big band sound, singers like Frank Sinatra and Perry Como, stuff like that but they actually had to admit they liked some of the music I listened to. When my daughter, now 37, was growing up she and I actually like most of the same songs, so there was no real conflict there. But NOW the old "generation gap" has finally gotten to me! Or could it be (I say YES) that much of today's music is just simply crap? It seems like all the songs sound alike, there is no need for an artist to have any singing talent because it's mostly all rap, and there is no such things as nice, meaningful lyrics anymore. OK, there ARE exceptions, but for the most part this is how it is. Or is it really just that i'm getting old, like my grandkids tell me...lol...? But, since this is a discussion I fully expect to hear from some of you with a different opinion, so come on, let's talk!

Not my first rock and roll album, or the first that gave me a big thrill, but just the first.I can remember being in the car as a really small child and hearing "Holiday For Strings" on the car radio. We lived in Woodland, California, and I was only two or three when we left there. I can also remember eating a Popsicle and hearing something about "The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane" or something like that lol. I can remember sitting in the shade of our willow tree thinking it was neat that I was in the shade hearing about Shady Lane. | | Awww Baby What a Life! What is my Name? | | This is so sweet all I have to do is lay around and sleep all day and do nothing! Wait for mama to come in so I can have dinner eat and lazy around some more till night time comes. This is one of my kittens he is the only one left. The other kittens were eaten by wild animals. My husband decided to put them out for the day to get fresh air and when we came back they was all gone but this one. So had a heart to heart with honey and just politely told him this one would stay in till he got old and gray don't want to loose this one. And boy what a life this one has. He rules the whole house. His mom gets so sick of him atacking her she wines to go out. And as soon as she is out he stands at the door looking and waiting for him mom to come back in. Just wanted to share with you my kitten. I don't know what got the other ones. Don't know what eats kittens. But have seen a huge owl hanging around and raccoons and possums. Does anyone have any ideal what will kill kittens and leave not a trace? This has just been eating at me since the last one got taken! Haven't got a name for this one any!
