| Elvis was and still is the Greatest! | | Elvis has been gone since 1977. That is something like 32 years now. Yet his songs live in our hearts. For me, I will always remember elvis through his many songs.
I love his later songs. They were more attuned with the times. Almost every month, Elvis’s songs were on the charts. His shows were all sold-outs. Even his movie showing him on tourare hungry, but the Rich that get all the poor's money, Can Spend this much money on someone's hair... OMG Right... | |
| | Does Elvis Presley belong to your life and memories? | | This August 17, another year went by since Elvis died at an early age. The death of Michael Jackson has made me think of the painful life that the very famous people live.
But I think that for the generation of the late 50s and 60s, elvis is still alive. His wonderful voice has not been equaled. He also made posible a change in pop music that without him it would not have been posible. Even The BEatles have said that without Elvis they wouldn´t have existed.
How do you feel about this? Do you remember Elvis?

| | Old Elvis Movies. | | For those in the more senior years, we used to go for Elvis movies at one time-the Elvis era. Elvis was a phenomenon. He was a sensation. In fact, even before the main show starts, cinema halls will play Elvis numbers such as Return to Sender and Wooden Heart. My favourite Elvis movies was that brilliant Girls, Girls Girls and that unforgettable Blue Hawaii.Anyone has other favourites? | |
| | What about Harris Lillis "Bing" Crosby? Other than Elvis or MJ on real king. | | When the discussion for who is the real king of Music ( Elvis or MJ ) still raging, how about Harris Lillis "Bing" Crosby who did Vocal, traditional pop and Jazz who dominated both music and film worlds much before Elvis and MJ captured hearts of millions of Americans and was third most popular actor of all time beside Clark Gable and John Wayne and his most popular movie White Christmas released in 1954 shattered box office with a whopping $30 million. Bing Crosby inspired many male singers including likes of Frank Sinatra,Perry Como and Dean Martin. "I surrender Dear", "Wrap your troubles in Dreams" mega hits of 1930's after his first hit "Ol' Man River" a Jazz influenced rendition in the year 1928. So Bing was King in that era. His records sold an estimated sale of 500 Million next to Beattles and Elvis of one billion plus.MJ's songs stood at 750 million. He was successful both as actor and singer. He also lifted the morale of American GI during World War-II as quoted by Yank Magazine and declared him "Most admired Man alive" in 1948 polls. So any one can compare now all the three ( Bing Crosby,Elvis and MJ) to give your opinion on the above... | |
