| | Strictly ENTERTAINMENT!! What's your take? | | I prefer to use my tv viewing time for strictly entertainment! What is your choice? To explain a bit, this is what I mean. If I'm going to spend the time watching the ol boob tube, I want it to be worth my time. Worth my time to me is primetime entertaining tv, which is generally hour long first run shows of a dramatic nature. It is usually fiction or reality based tv, but NOT talk shows, news, stocks, sports, etc.My OPINION is that other things are somewhat of a waste - if there is nothing else on, I will watch OTHER things that have entertainment value, but say for instance I was curious about something in the news, I would go look it up online, read an article or two and be done with it. I would be very very unlikely to watch it on tv. | |

Its various idol groups have been taking the country, and most of Asia, by storm (literally, in Arashi's case) since the 1960's. J&A groups release singles and albums under labels such as Johnny's Entertainment, J-Storm and Avex.I, myself, am a NEWS fan. NEWS was launched in 2003 as a nine-member group but, due to unfortunate circumstances, have been reduced to a six-member group when they re-debuted in 2007. I remember that the first ever performance by a J&A group that I watched that really got to me was NEWS' first performance of Hoshi wo Mezashite on Music Station. The song was so beautiful, emotional, and listening to it gave me goosebumps. That was the first time I fell in love with NEWS and I didn't even realize it until a couple of months later when TegoMass (a sub-unit composed of members Tegoshi Yuya and Masuda Takahisa) went on Music Station again and I remembered them as the ones who were with Yamapi during the Hoshi wo Mezashite performance. Avoid being one of the mob who indulges in such pastimes. Your life is too short and you have important things to do. Be discriminating about what images and ideas you permit into your mind. If you yourself don't choose what thoughts and images you expose yourself to, someone else will, and their motives may not be the highest. It is the easiest thing in the world to slide imperceptibly into vulgarity. But there's no need for that to happen if you determine not to waste your time and attention on mindles pap.

| | Entertainment systems...I just don't get it! | | My former husband was an audiophile and a TV nut. So was my dad. So are most of the men that I know. They buy the latest tv, now it's HD, that is so clear you can see a pimple on someone's face. Why would you want to? Why do you want to see every blade of grass on a football field?And why all the sound equipment? Can y'all just turn on the TV and enjoy it? I just don't get the surround sound stuff with all the speakers and even a device that lets you feel vibrations. If you want something realistic, get your butt off the couch and go live some experience. So, I'm hoping some guys will jump in here and tell me why the obsession with TV gear. I just turn on the TV and watch, I'm happy with that. All that gear is a puzzle to me, especially at the prices charged! | |

We have to admit we grown up in a entertainment obsessed society. But in the Bible Paul reminded the believers who they were and that they needed to be careful about how they built on their lives. Choosing any entertainment that promotes evil is like ingesting sin. It will affect our relationship with God. So we must be choosy & stingy in entertainment selections. Now here's my question to you-- How much of your day is spent in seeking & experiencing entertainment? Are you not bothered with it? and why?

| | Dogs for entertainment or for security? | | What do you consider in owning a dog, is it for company and entertainment or for your family's security?When I and my wife visited a pet shop, we argued on what type of dog we need to buy. I my self want a dog for security purposes and it should be big, alert and strong, my wife wants the small one with a lot of furs that she can hug and play with . Since our money was just enough to buy one, so we went home with nothing but an arguement. Though we did not have a fight for a small things like that, I felt guilty of not giving attention for her likes. So I decided to just buy the small dog the next day, which I did, and my wife was very happy she hugged and kissed me the way she never did before...LOL.... So how do you choose your pet, is women realy picks the small pet for them? | |
