| Salvador Dali And Rene Magritte | | My all time favorite artist is Salvador next to him is Rene Magritte. The painting I added to this post is one I did that combines images that that both Dali and Magritte are know for. These two surrealists in my opinion defined surrealism. | | | Salvador Dali. Who is your favorite painter? | | I do like paintings, but I'm not an aficionado. I have one favorite though, his name is Salvador Dali. I like him not because his first name is same as my last but the fact that I really enjoy his creations. One style that fascinates me the most, levitation, his style that totally breaks the law of gravity. have you imagined the image of Jesus Christ nailed to the cross and as if the sky is trying to pull him up, rip him from the cross? That's just one of his work that i like. Do you have a favorite painter? | |
| | Which painter you like the most?? I like Dali. | | I love Dali's works. His painting are not like the other artists which bears few lines or patches and let the people infere those works. Dali's painting contains recognisable objects which speaks of itself. The concept and his thoughts are well narrated and expresses in each of his paintings.
I love the detailed works which and complete in itself yet speaks a lot of them to work about.

| | To Dally in Dali | | Back around the time of the Tang and Song Dynasties (618-1279), for about a half century Dali was a power center, a place of culture and commerce. It had its ups and downs, including an overlong visit from Kublai Khan and Company. Then, not so long ago, while still largely unknown to the traveling public, Dali gained some discreet fame as an out-of-the-way rough-and-ready spot for trekking Western backpackers to put in some hanging-around time.Today, along the bar and restaurant-lined pedestrian streets at the center of things, food and drink varies from the local Bai cuisine, to burgers, pizza, full-blown continental and (remarkably) perhaps the most delicious tacos this California expat has ever sampled (at Caf? de Jack near “Foreigners’ Street” on Boai Road). A modern mountaintop airport services the area, as do nonstop air-conditioned buses and trains. | |

| | No winners when musicians Costello, Paul Simon boycott countries? | | http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2010/may/26/musicians-boycott-cou
ntries>When musicians boycott countries there are no clear winners Elvis Costello is the latest pop star to pull performances in Israel.
But can a boycott do more harm than good?Last week, Elvis Costello became the latest, though probably not the last, musician to pull out of a concert in Israel under pressure from various groups calling for a cultural boycott of the country over its mistreatment of Palestinians. Before him it was Gil Scott-Heron, whose recent London show was disrupted by protesters, and Carlos Santana. But Israel has by no means been struck off the international gig circuit: forthcoming attractions include Elton John, Mark Knopfler, Placebo, and Costello's wife, Diana Krall. This is largely because there is no official cultural boycott of Israel equivalent to that imposed on South Africa during apartheid. Despite the rhetoric of the pro-boycott lobby, which talks of Israel's "colonial apartheid", it remains a matter of individual choice.A successful boycott requires general consensus on two principles:
one, that the cause is just, and two, that a boycott is an effective... | |
