Did You Lose the Car Again Discussions
Jokes
One beautiful morning a athiest was walking through the forest, admiring natures surroundings. .. He looked up and saw the trees swaying in the wind high above him and smiled... He saw the river glisten in the sun twinkle like a new born star and it made him warm inside... He thought to himself that mother nature had made a true and wonderful world... The athiest had walked a little further down the track he had taken when suddenly a bear jumped out of the bushes only a few yards ahead of him and started growling, looking hungry and ran quickly towards him... Seeing the big bear bounding towards him he screamed in horror and started running as fast as he could away from the bear... Knowing that the bear would catch up to him and he had no chance, the athiest soon ran out of breath and in a few paces fell to the ground... As the bears shadow fell upon his face and his paws come down upon his chest, the athiest screamed "oh help me god" Suddenly the trees that he so much admired stopped swaying... The river he loved suddenly stopped flowing.. And the sky opened up and a voice begun to speak.. "I am god, and even though you dont believe in me, i am here for every being on this...

How good is your memory?
How good is your memory? Do you walk into a room and forget what you went there for? Do you lose your car keys? Do you forget appointments? What do you do to improve your memory? Is it working?
My heart about broke.....
Did anyone see the story about WalMart suing the disabled woman to recoup medical expenses? http://www.yahoo.com/s/840436It was a video story. She was working for them when she was hit by a semi in 2002. She is in a nursing home. They paid her medical expenses and because of a clause in the paperwork they are coming back now to get the money back because they received a settlement of $470,000 or something. It's held in trust to cover her medical costs. She has no short term memory. Her son was killed in Iraq and can't remember, so when she asks about her son it's like she is learning it for the first time all over again. Her husband is working two jobs and is about to lose his car and the roof over his head because of this because there is no way he can afford to pay for her care out of his own pocket. I wanted to cry. It's within their "legal" right, but come on!! Isn't there a moral code here?!? The lady can't do anything for herself and her husband is trying his best to keep their world from falling apart and he's being sued for it because they got a settlement that will be lucky to cover her nursing home, much less anything else for the rest of her life. Her even...
Identifying and Finding Help for Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder
For going on about 20 years, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) has been a hot "buzz" word in educational, psychotherapeutic, medical, parental, and even pop culture and entertainment circles. It was first identified in 1902 by Dr. George Frederic Still, who described "a group of children with symptoms that sound much like what is now known as ADHD. He used the label 'defect in moral control'"In 1966, Samuel Clements coined the improved but still unfortunate term (but typical for its time) Minimal Brain Dysfunction. Dr. Clements defined it as a syndrome which presents as a combination of average or above average intelligece with certain mild to severe learning or behavioral disabilities charactering deviant functioning of the central nervous system (http://www.enotes.com/gate-pyschology- encyclopedia/minimal-brain-dysfunction). It has thankfully undergonbe a transformation in terms of public understanding (which does still lag behind the reality), and in the more academically and clinically astute minds of modern professionals.First thought to be almost exclusively a "boy's" disorder, we now know that the prevalence of ADD is nearly statistically equal for both genders,...
I need help!
I have tried nearly everything to make money...short of prostitution (my man said he'd have to rethink things if I went that route). I've sold just about everything of value here, I'm about to lose my car (sheesh!), I'm losing my home, myLot is only for little things (like a soda), and I'm fresh out of ideas! I've asked my dad for help, but his solution is for me to move in with him--in North Carolina (I'm in New Jersey, as is my daughter, and I don't want to leave her). I'm desperate--any ideas on finding some quick cash (I just applied to four jobsTHIS week, including yesterday), but I'm out of ideas. Help!PS-you can always donate a $1 to me...it would only go to paying bills.[em]blush[/em]
Car Title Money Ads
Oh I hate those ads. They make it sound so easy. Bring in your title, get money and you're done. You have the money and your car. What the ad does not make clear is you are taking out a loan against the value of your car. If you don't pay the loan -- plus the 300% interest -- you lose your car. Anyone else seen those ads? How do you feel about them? What do you think of people who fall for thos ads (be polite).
Do you lose your car?
Do you ever lose your car when you go to Wal-Mart or to the mall? This doesn't happen to me too often, but when it does I am so embarassed. The other day I lost my car at Wal-Mart and I was wondering around the lot talking to a friend on my cell phone. He said don't you look at the row number when you get out of your car. To be honest with you, up until he said that, I had no clue that had row numbers at Wal-Mart.Do you ever see other people wondering around the parking lot? You can tell by looking at them that they have lost their car. I have to laugh, because I even laugh at myself when this happens. What about you? Does any of this ever happen to anyone else besides me?Thanks and have a good day!
