Cry, The Beloved Country Discussions
| Cry the Beloved Country by Alan Paton. | | I thought the book Cry the Beloved Country was overall, good, just because I lost interest at some points. It was informative in the way that I was able to learn some history on South Africa. One thing I learned was about, what kinds of situations were occuring in Johannesburg not only with the natives, but with the Aficaners too. The social system was extremly unfair which plays a big factor in the story. The black South Aficans were put under the white South African's control and were givin all these restrictions. They had troubles with economics and equality. It seems their daily lives were threatened in one way or another. We see how all of this comes into effect when a father of a small town Ndotsheni, searches for his son who hasn't returned from the big city of Johannesburg. Along the way we see how these conflicts such as injustice, come into act in the father's journey. We also see the relationships among the different races. This is a good book to read if you are interested in the history of South Africa and past and present day problems that are still going on. | |

| | Did you want to cry so hard even there's no reason to? | | Since I was young, I have lots of bad experiences, and I don't share them with anybody. I keep them to myself. Oftentimes, I would release them by thinking of a particular bad experience and cry so much till there's no more tears or I fell asleep. I do this since I was 10 years old. I did it while washing dishes, or doing laundry, or watching TV, or before going to bed. I continuously do it till now that I am grown up, if I don't do it, I feel very depressed and my mood becomes off. Do you think it's healthy? Did you have same experience as mine? | |

Do anyone of you what had happened to the site? Have they announced any downtime or something? SHARE ALL YOUR VALUABLE INFORMATION ABOUT THAT SITE[em]surrender[/em]. | |
