| Im i overly protected with my son? | | Im i overly protecting my 4 year old son? because i dont usually let him out MOST OF THE TIME, or if ever he wants to play outside our house, i would always make sure that i was just sitting next to him, keeping an eye on him and going after him and putting on a towel on his back when he's sweating too much, and changing his clothes there.... i think i was just the only mom who would always be sitting next to her own son....
i know that interacting with younger kids is also important to a child's development... its just that i couldnt just let go of my son and play with the other kids more often, because... believe me, even kids much much younger than my son speaks so differently, we hear them saying bad words towars the other kids, or even with their own playmates, and they argue even with their own parents... i remember one time my son spoke a bad word, and his dad was so surprised why he said that, and when we talked to him and asked where did he get that word, he told us that he heard it from the dad of one of the kids outside, saying that word to his own son... and he even describes that the dad kicks his own son and the dad was really mad.... and then i knew whom he was... | |
| | Coloring for Relaxation and for Fun with the Kids | | Grab a crayon and join your kids or grandkids when they are coloring in their favorite color books. Better yet, buy a few for yourself. Coloring is a great way to relax. When my kids were little we would bring out the coloring books and crayons and sit for hours bringing color the pictures. Each of us had a book that we would color from and once we finished a picture, we would trade books. It was an enjoyable time for all of us. | |
